Let’s Pray!

The recent Bible Society's report about the "Quiet Revival" says that there is a growing hunger for the Bible, especially among the Gen Z generation. This is a big challenge and a huge opportunity for us in KYB. Let's continue to promote the Word of God as Jabez asks - may God enlarge our territory.

1 Chronicles 4:10 "Jabez cried out to the God of Israel "Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm...""

"Jabez" (whose name means sorrowful or born in pain) - now put your own name there - and be the one who like him, no matter what your past or your circumstances, or your name means, can have access to God.

Romans 10:13"Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."

Jeremiah 33:3 "Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known."

  • Pray that each individual involved with KYB at any level will feel part of the KYB family.

  • Pray that individual study groups will be there for each other and support in prayer.

Sunday

"to the God of Israel", it matters who we go to for help! We need to remember just who it is we appeal to - the One with all power, might, ability and sufficiency.

John 17:3 "you are the only true God"

raise God for our KYB group leaders.

  • Pray that in KYB we always keep God in his rightful place in out individual lives, our outworking of the facets of KYB. Even when faced with trials or difficulties we might rest assured He is limitless and able to do far more than we can imagine.

Tuesday

"Cried out", this implies emotion and desperation, an appeal for help as when many characters in the Bible cried out to God, like Hannah, Esther, the widows in Joppa. â€‹

Isaiah 58:9 "at the time you call, the Lord will answer."

  • Pray that as we see the needs in our communities, nation and personally for God's Word to again be impactful and help us cry out that KYB will be ready to share the truths of the Word.

  • Pray for "grass roots" KYB impact where we are.

Monday

Wednesday

"Oh, that you would bless me", isn't a selfish prayer, but a necessary one to enable us to be conduits of God's blessing to others. We are admitting our need for God first as in Matthew 7:7 "ask, seek, knock..." and

Genesis 12:2 "I will bless you.. and you will be blessing to others."

  • Pray that KYB will be blessed to be a blessing. Every woman blessed spiritually, physically, mentally and emotionally. That sense of wholeness be felt by everyone involved

"and enlarge my territory!"

Ephesians 1:18 "I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people."

Psalm 2:8 "Ask me, I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession."

  • Pray that God would show KYBers their purpose so they can live lives bigger than their own thinking.

  • Pray for each Trustee, NLT member, study group leader, intercessor, each local team member to seek for that wider influence of KYB to spread.

  • Pray for new KYB groups to be set up across the country.

Thursday

"Let your hand be with me", we don't do this alone.

2 Corinthians 3:5 - 6 "Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God."

Acts11:21 "The Lord's hand was with them and a great number of people believed and turned to the Lord."

  • Pray that KYB keeps holding God's hand, knowing and carrying His presence for every step.

  • Pray that the Lord Jesus will be with us in KYB because what God has called us to is too big for us without Him!

  • Pray that as we know his presence with us we will be bold to step forward into all that He has for us in the future believing for many more to trust the Living Word of God.

Friday

Saturday

"and keep me from harm..." just as Jesus says in the Lord's prayer in Matthew 6:5 - 15

Romans 8:35 - 37 "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakekdness or danger or sword."

1 Peter 5:8 "the devil is like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour.

  • Pray for the purity of the Word of God through KYB to be guarded and the work protected.

  • Pray for our lives to live out the truth of the Word, even when we have to make a stand, and know that in being true to Him we have His guardianship.

  • Teach us to pray through event when we encounter obstacles and difficulties.

Alongside all our requests it is important to daily give thanks as:-

God granted what he (she) asked!
